Liverpool head coach Arne Slot hailed the contribution of the former LFC boss Jurgen Klopp after winning the 2024-25 Premier League title.
Klopp left the Reds in the 2024 summer, leaving a great legacy where he won every single title. Slot took charge of a team that had great players already.
And with just decent planning, he was able to make LFC win the PL title in his first season in charge. After creating history by leading the six-time European champions to win the 20th domestic top-flight title, Slot thanked the German manager.
He said: “I am 99.9% sure that if I pick up my phone there will be a message from Jurgen.”
“So many moments in the season the two of us have had contact. I think he showed last season what a wonderful human being he is by introducing me.
“But what mattered most is the team he left behind that was able to win the trophy.”
On Sunday, Liverpool gained a 5-1 victory against Tottenham Hotspur at home and won the historical title that has helped them to match Manchester United’s 20 domestic league titles glory.
Slot added: “The work Jurgen and Pep (Lijnders) did – the culture, work-rate, quality – was outstanding.”
Dominic Solanke was the only goalscorer for Spurs. He even opened the scoreline early in the first half. But the Reds saw a collective performance of Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gapko, Mohamed Salah and Destiny Udogie (own goal), scoring one goal each.
As LFC are out of the FA Cup and Champions Legaue, the PL title is the only thing they could have won. And with just four games left, LFC managed to achieve great glory.
