Former Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad said on ‘Haarna Mana Hai’ show that Mohammad Amir is a player who can play a key role in making Royal Challengers Bengaluru win the first Indian Premier League title.
Over the 17 to 18 years, despite having star players like Virat Kohli, AB de Villers, Chris Gayle, and Mitchell Starc, RCB have failed to win a single IPL trophy.
Virat is still with RCB, intending to win the title in 2025. Amir and Kohli have huge respect for each other, which one can see on social media and other media interactions.
However, Pakistan players are not allowed to play in the IPL due to geopolitical reasons. Otherwise, Amir could be one of the top targets of RCB.
Shehzad said: “RCB need a bowler like Amir to fix their bowling woes. They have good batting unit but their problem has always been a problem. If Amir plays for RCB, they will win the title.”
RCB will open the IPL 2025 against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders on 22 March away from home.
