Shardul Thakur is a player who can replace Mohsin Khan for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). In the 2024 auction, no IPL side selected the 33-year-old Indian all-arounder go unsold.
However, the injury to left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan on ACL left a door for a new player to join LSG.
As per Times of India, the update of Shardul joining Lucknow Super Giants can come very soon. The reports are telling that Shardul has agreed to join LSG, and he will be going along with the team to Visakhapatnam, where they face Delhi Capitals in their first match of the IPL 2025 on Monday.
As LSG bowling lineup is battling with injuries, Shardul’s arrival can be seen as a major boost for Rishabh Pant’s side.
Avesh Khan is yet to join the squad. Meanwhile, Akash Deep and Mayank Yadav are heeling from the injury at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE).
LSG mentor Zaheer Khan feels that there are major problems in the fast bowling department. And it is crucial for them to plan flexibly.
