A video came on social media, where Rishabh Pant; the Lucknow Super Giants captain, gave a pep talk to his side ahead of their opening Indian Premier League game against the Delhi Capitals away from home.
Pant, in the mega 2025 IPL auction, was picked by the LSG as they paid Rs 27 crore to get the wicketkeeper-batsman.
The very move made him leave the Delhi Capitals, against whom he would start his career with the LSG as a captain.
Pant has replaced KL Rahul, who has joined the DC, as the LSG captain.
Pant said: “I feel there is a lot of experience in the group. I think management has a lot of experience, we have a lot of senior players. Keep sharing your experience with the younger guys and let that experience flow into the younger group.”
This is the first-ever IPL season where Pant will not represent Delhi.
