Manchester United great Gary Neville uses strong words for Liverpool in their 2024-25 Premier League title race.
The Sky Sports football pundit was not impressed with Liverpool’s passion against Fulham, who won the game 3-2 at home on Sunday.
Neville said: “The other teams just haven’t stepped up this season and Liverpool have been consistent all the way through.”
He added: “The rest of them have fallen well below their standards – Arsenal, obviously Manchester City, United, Tottenham.”
The Reds did lose the game on Sunday, a day after Arsenal and Everton had a 1-1 draw in the PL.
This was the golden chance for Arne Slot and the team to extend the lead by two more points in the PL title race against Arsenal.
Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz blasted one goal each in the first half and diminished Alexis Mac Allister’s opener at Craven Cottage.
Luis Diaz scored Liverpool’s second goal of the game in the following half. But LFC was not able to find the third goal.
However, they still have an 11-point lead over second-placed Arsenal with just seven games remaining.
