Mohammad Amir is hoping that he can play in the Indian Premier League 2026. It is a well-known fact that Pakistan players are banned from playing in the Indian Premier League.
However, Amir’s wife; Narjis, is a United Kingdom citizen. Therefore by getting a passport, he is eligible to play in the IPL 2026.
Amir, who is retired from international cricket, is just 32 years old. This gives him an edge to still compete in T20 leagues worldwide.
Amir said on “Haarna Mana Hai” show: “Next year tak meri opportunity ban rahi agar hua to kyu nahi (By next year, I will have the opportunity to play in the IPL and if given the chance then why not). I will play in the IPL.”
Amir is a great admirer of Virat Kohli. So, this dynamic duo can play in a team next year or on any other side.
Amir is known as a very skilled bowler, making him a great addition to any side.
His former teammate Ahmed Shehzad said previously that Amir can be a great bowler for RCB.
“RCB need a bowler like Amir to fix their bowling woes. They have good batting unit but their problem has always been a problem. If Amir plays for RCB, they will win the title,” he said.
It will be great to see Amir playing in the IPL for many cricket fans worldwide.
