England cricket legend Michael Vaughan thinks that Ishan Kishan’s move to Sunrisers Hyderabad for the Indian Premier League 2025 is something that can work well for him.
Kishan left Mumbai Indians as SRH picked him in the mega auction last year.
On Sunday (March 23), the 26-year-old wicket-keeper-batsman scored an unbeaten 106 in just 47 balls to make his new side win their IPL opener against Rajasthan Royals by 44 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
SRH set a massive target of 287, something RR failed to overpower and lost the game.
Vaughan sees that his century-hitting BCCI’s chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar as Kishan has not had many chances to play for India in any format. His last representation for India came versus Australia back in Nov 2023 in a T20I.
Vaughan said: “That was a celebration maybe to Mumbai, maybe to the chairman of selectors, maybe to Rohit Sharma, maybe to the whole of India, maybe to the whole of the world. He’s a wonderfully balanced player.”
Kishan not made his IPL debut for SRH, but blasted a match-winning century. From 2018 to 2024, he was a part of Mumbai Indians.
However, his IPL debut came in 2016 for Gujarat Lions.
