Marcus Rashford, who joined Aston Villa on loan in the winter 2025 transfer market, needs to have a wage cut to join Unai Emery’s side permanently this summer, as per Football Insider.
The reports came earlier that Villa are not comfortable playing a £350,000-a-week salary for the next five years, as it would make them pay Rashford £130 million.
The Midlands giants have the reported option to sign the England international for £40million once this season ends.
Rashford is possibly looking for a switch away from his childhood club Manchester United. This means he has to take a massive wage cut to Villa or any other side.
In the 2022-23 season, the 27-year-old forward enjoyed his best season at the club level. He scored 30 goals in 56 apps in all competitions.
Since then, Rashford has not scored more than seven goals in an English top-flight season. Hence, it made Rashford leave the Red Devils to see a new chapter in his life.
