Florian Wirtz’s chances of making a move to England from Germany are getting better.
The Football Insider has reported that the German winger’s representatives are in talks with Manchester City for a potential move this summer.
Manchester City have to pay around £100million for signing Wirtz.
His current deal with Bayer Leverkusen will end in the summer of 2027. However, many reports are suggesting that Wirtz would leave Leverkusen this summer for a mega club in Europe.
The 21-year-old winger helped Leverkusen win the Bundesliga title last season. In the 2024-25 season, Wirtz has added nine goals and 11 assists in 25 outings.
In nine Champions League appearances this season, the German international has scored six times with one assist.
Wirtz made his German debut in 2021, scoring six goals in 29 games.
As the Sky Blues are struggling massively after a long time, from their set standards, Pep Guardiola is aiming for a big summer ahead.
