Former Australia spinner Stuart MacGill’s life has taken a serious turn as he has been found guilty in a cocaine supply case.
MacGill did face more than six hours of interrogation, and the judge concluded that the retired international cricketer was not directly involved in the case.
However, he did connect his known dealer to a firm as an associate in 2021.
As per the police, they agreed to US$200,000. The court did not find him in the direct supply chain but did find him guilty of helping to supply a drug that was not legal.
Now he will be sentenced in May. From 1998 to 2008, MacGill represented Australia in 44 Tests. He was a very good bowler, but having Shane Warne did make him not play that much.
