Veteran fast bowler Ishant Sharma gets fined for breaking the rules in the 2025 Indian Premier League.
The 36-year-old paid a match fee of 25 per cent for breaking rules while representing Gujarat Titans against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad on Sunday.
GT did win the game by seven wickets, chasing a 153-run target in 16.4 overs.
Other than cutting a portion of match-fee, he did receive one demerit point penalty.
It was not the IPL officials who reported the issue, but Ishant went to the match referee to admit the offence.
It was concerned as a LEVEL 1 fine, which means a cut of one-fourth of the match fee.
In three games played for GT, Ishant has taken just one wicket. It does possibly indicate towards getting dropped in the coming IPL games of Gujarat, who have lost just one of the four games (winning three).
