Lautaro Martinez is out from participating in Argentina’s World Cup Qualifiers due to an injury. He is facing problems with a hamstring tear, confirmed by the Argentine Football Association (AFA).
On Sunday, Martinez’s 87th-minute goal helped Inter Milan beat Atlanta 2-0 away from home in Serie A. Not to forget that Lionel Messi is also out of action due to an injury problem.
Having 25 points in 12 games, World Champions Argentina are the leaders of the South American zone for the World Cup 2026 qualifiers.
Argentina’s two upcoming games are against Uruguay and Brazil, making injury-miss even bigger.
Martinez, who made his debut for the senior side of Argentina in 2018, has scored 32 goals in 70 appearances for his national side.
He was also a crucial player in Argentina’s World Cup glory back in 2022.
