Ahead of the 2025 Indian Premier League season, the Lucknow Super Giants get a good update as fast bowler Mayank Yadav starts training at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
In Oct 202, Mayank made his India debut versus Bangladesh in the T20I format where he faced an injury problem (a lumbar stress injury).
In the IPL 2024, Mayank’s fast bowling did bring a lot of attention towards him. He was bowling very well around 150 kmph+ consistently.
The 22-year-old fast bowler still needs the approval of the BCCI first before joining his IPL side. Mayank shared the update with his fans on social media, showing his returns in nets.
In the IPL 2024, Mayank played four games for the Super Giants and took seven wickets. In those four matches, he gave away just 85 runs.
Meanwhile, LSG’s face IPL game will be against the Delhi Capitals next Monday.
