Matthew Hayden makes a bold statement on Chennai Super Kings’ fate in the Indian Premier League 2025.
Hayden, who played for CSK from 2008 to 2010, feels that his former side can finish at the bottom of the IPL table.
In 2010, Hayden played a massive role in making Chennai win their first IPL title. In fact, in 2009, he did win the Orange Cap too.
Hayden was asked to pick either Australia winning the Ashes against England but CSK finishing 10th in the IPL.
And for the love of the nation, the cricket legend picked Australia ahead of CSK.
Hayden did call his question ‘horrible’. He did make it clear that losing to England is not even an option. This can be also the last season of his former captain and teammate MS Dhoni at CSK.
However, there is no confirmation from the end Dhoni regarding his retirement from the IPL.
CSK have won one of their first two matches of the IPL 2025. They beat Mumbai Indians in their first match and lost to RCB on Friday.
