Dani Olmo, who scored a penalty for Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over CA Osasuna on Thursday will miss upcoming games due to an injury.
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick did confirm this update at the post-match press conference.
FCB outdid Osasuna, thanks to the goals from Ferran Torres (11 minutes), Olmo (21’P) and Robert Lewandowski (77’).
Olmo injured his upper right leg. As a result, he came off the pitch in the 28th minute.
“It is an injury, and now in this schedule two weeks is a lot of matches, so it is not good,” Flick said.
On Sunday, Barcelona will lock horns against Girona in La Liga. On April 4, Flick’s side will face Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey semis. The first leg ended 4-4.
Barca will lock horns against Borussia Dortmund on April 9 in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
And Olmo can miss these crucial games.
Olmo made a move to Barca in the 2024 summer, post having a good Euro campaign.
In 18 Spanish top-flight apps, Olmo has scored seven goals.
