Kylian Mbappe dream of winning the Champions League title got shattered after losing the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals 2-1 against Arsenal at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Mbappe met with an injury in the 75th mintue, leading to his substitution. Real did face a 3-0 defeat away from home versus the Gunners last week. As a result, they lost the last-8 tie 5-1.
Kylian Mbappe joined Real Madrid last summer to win the UCL title for the first time. However, he has to wait now for the next season to get the chance to win the European title.
Making things worse, Mbappe’s injury might prevent him from featuring against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final on 26 April (Saturday).
They are also behind Barcelona by four points in the La Liga title race, with just seven games left. There are even high chances that Mbappe might not even win the Spanish top-flight silverware this season.
